Instructor will lecture from the Quality Council of Indiana CSSBB PDF Disc projected
from a computer to a screen via LCD projector. Students will follow along using
the more detailed Quality Council of Indiana CSSBB 3 ring notebook Primer provided
for the course. At the end of each session the Instructor will review sample
exam questions and answers using the Quality Council of Indiana CSSBB simulated
Exam on PDF Disc. Students may purchase the Quality Council of Indiana CSSBB
Solutions Manual separately. (Please note that our Certified Six Sigma Green Belt training is offered separately during our Spring & Fall semesters.)
Instructor: Ed May
Ed May is an American Society for Quality Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (ASQ CSSBB) who spent two decades in the manufacturing industry before establishing himself in 2001 as a quality consultant, adjunct professor, and on-site instructor. Ed specializes in Six Sigma, Lean Thinking, and ISO 9001.
Before becoming a quality and productivity consultant, Ed held various positions in engineering, manufacturing, and quality management in local manufacturing companies. Ed has implemented ISO 9001 at numerous manufacturing companies in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Courses that Ed has taught on site at New Jersey companies include Six Sigma Quality, Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9000, Quality Improvement Processes, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, and SPC.
Ed has been a guest speaker at ASQ, APICS, AIChE and IIE on the topic of Six Sigma. He has also taught the Six Sigma Saturday Course for ASQ Section 304 in North Jersey.
Ed is an Adjunct Instructor for New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he teaches courses in Quality Systems Management and Industrial Statistics, and serves on the Engineering Technology Advisory Committee.
Ed is also Faculty Chairperson and Adjunct Instructor for the Union County College Continuing Education Certificate Program for SIX SIGMA. He recently began teaching at companies in Union County for the Industry Business Institute.
When Ed is not consulting, teaching, training, writing, or doing volunteer work, he is busy fundraising for his alma maters: Stevens Institute of Technology and the Harvard Business School. Ed lives with his wife and children in Maplewood, NJ, where he is active in community affairs.
Registration is always open for onsite courses which we'll be happy to run at your own facility.
Class Schedule: Courses are offered every Summer and Winter semester
40 hours for Bridge (five hours per day for eight days) course and 24 hours for Study Hall (three hours per day for eight days)
Schedule is set so that last class will end in advance of March or October ASQ certification exam.
